Fashion magazines are full of ads and magazines about what’s hot for fall 2009. It can be overwhelming to wade through everything. Luckily, this fall’s trendy features that are easy on the wallet and easy to use. They mix with what they already own without need for a revision of the closet.
The key is a strong red color. For those of us who do not look good in bright scarlet, there are many alternatives. Bright orange red almost looks great on women who tend to disappear in the more common red “pencil” (actually a red and blue tones). Furthermore, there is need of an overdose in color. A splash of red on the shoes, or a bright streak in a neck scarf accent is enough to look fashionable footwear fresh. The for this year is very bold. The boots are great because they always seem to be in the fall. This year we have raised, some stacked heels, wedges or rationalized. Some designers are showing bizarre boots (and shoes), with fancy heels, looks like a lot of balls or rings intertwined.
The finger is shown is elegant, not rounded, sometimes bluntly pointed or square. The cut idea remains strong. This means that the boots and shoes with the toe or heel cut, reducing outputs perhaps along the sides. This shoe looks almost skeletal.
The fashion trend in the shoes of others is very, very classic. Ballerina flats is shown in all colors and materials, red patent is enormous. Elegant, less flashy cowboy boots and biker boots look great with the next big trend that is also classic … denim.
Jeans for the fall. Denim is always in style. Jeans fashion this year come in three flavors: tight skin, soft bootcut, and “boyfriend.” The skinny jean is also called “rockstar” cutting. It’s not as low cut as in the past, about 2 inches below the navel with a wide waist exaggerated. The leg of the jean is tight from hip to ankle, and stops just at the ankle bone or more, to be rolled. The bootcut jean also has wider waist and gently clings to the leg, and bordering the bootcut (not a burnt leg). These pants end just below the ankle bone with a normal length. The “boyfriend” cut sits at the hips and drops directly on the ring-no curves. They are rolled above the ankle bone and all the way to just below the knee. The trends are dark indigo denim to black and looking back, or destroyed by tears and extreme discoloration recommended.
The other trends in pants feature soft, warm softly pleated fabric. Think of menswear trousers with soft folds, falling to the ankle. The harem pants are being used in the soft, lush silk fabrics for the holidays and nights.
Skirts are too drapey. They may be pencil-shaped or long (almost to the ground), but definitely are slightly draped with pleats and ruffles, flounces not too many, however. This seems to be the place where the pattern is emerging. The swirly skirts and floral paisleys and plaids, checks, dots, or fishbone exaggerated.
On top, the trend is for light layers in vanilla, soft rose, dusk blue, gray and camel. Soft shirts men’s shirts appear to dress more fall. The look is still in layers, with a deposit on a shirt with a sweater. Tops are touching the body, not too tight, not loose. The boatneck is displayed, along with other interesting neck treatment.
Knitwear is a big trend this year. A great sweater worn over everything. The colors are neutral or bold pattern. I’ve seen everything from sample-fine silk mesh with the classic series of double cashmere and chunky neon asymmetric. This is a real place to declare their individuality. That sweater is an amazing place to start your computer.
In the legs, thick socks shown. Fishnets, where applicable, are in the leg at night. But the trend is less pattern (perhaps a vertical line) in a deep color that accentuates your computer.
The coat or jacket now is Menswear large, or a form-fitting, short Dazzler at best fabric you can afford. Absolutely no jeans here. The jacket should also be smooth, not annoying, and pads. The shoulder is back padded coat and everywhere.
This is the first year I can remember where the styles seem usable by most women. The trends are not so crazy they can not work with our existing wardrobes. The autumn of 2009 and its clothing trends are exciting because they are (mostly) affordable and practical.
