And so it begins – the premiere of the second Sex and the City movie took place in New York last night.
A clutch of celebrities hit the red carpet at the very first of many Sex and the City 2 premieres, but all eyes, obviously, were on the four stars in the movie. So what did they wear?
Sarah Jessica Parker stole the display in an eye-popping gown by Valentino Couture teamed with heels by Salvatore Ferragamo, proving that her sartorial credentials show no sign of waning following 12 years playing Carrie Bradshaw. Kristin Davis looked stunning in a vintage pink chiffon dress by Jean Dresses. Kim Catrall opted for classic Hollywood glamour having a sequined Naeem Khan gown. And Cynthia Nixon played it safe inside a black strapless dress by Carolina Herrera.
And for SJP and Kristen Davis it seemed that one dress wasn’t sufficient for that evening – both stars changed outfits for your after-party. Sarah Jessica Parker swapped bright for a black lace and chiffon dress teamed with some stunning Nicholas Kirkwood shoes worthy of her alter ego, whilst Kristin chose a silver chainmail dress.
Last night was only the very first red carpet outing to the foursome – the SATC team is due to hit London on Thursday night for that London premiere on the film ahead of its release on Friday.
