Shearling
This is probably the hottest must-have trend to the fabric of the season. Designers are used to almost all areas of fashion, such as handbags, shoes, and various accessories. However, the best thing you can do is choose to shearling jackets and coats. At Burberry Prorsum we could see the sheepskin in all its splendor, the collection seems to be practically built around this tissue. Its use for aviator jackets and parkas, Christopher Bailey mixtures shearling lace dresses and high boots women’s wing. Another interesting contrast between the sheepskin and wool could see and Philip Lim. At Rag & Bone, the sheepskin jacket looks like a cape.
Skin
Creations of fur this season are quite funny that so inspiring. Less refined and delicate, leather goods seem to lose their femininity. At Chanel, Karl Lagerfeld uses synthetic leather for the autumn / winter 2010-2011collection.
Furry shoes, furry skirts and pants, and even a furry costume head to toe, Yeti style could be seen on the catwalk the Chanel. Christopher Bailey offered an interesting interpretation to his style jacket, made of leather, and looking super cozy and comfortable. We saw in the Proenza Schouler leather collection which represents only a few details about clothing, leather jackets at Derek Lam, Michael Kors leather pants combined with boots and strips. A Peter Som, skins are mixed with flowers, checks and tweed.
Fabrics
This season, knitwear could be seen on the catwalks for many, the only thing for us to have in mind is the way it must match in order to look good. There is no problem in matching knitted pieces and sophisticated feminine elements, like high heels and thin, fine leather belts. You can use it as seen at Christian Dior, paired with a super delicate chiffon dress for a romantic look. In the collection of Loewe, the sweater dress is worn with a belt at the waist thin, delicate stockings and a pair of stiletto heels for a look casual-chic. We have also seen a tendency to point at Miuccia Prada, Marc Jacobs, Michael Kors and Chloe.
Velvet
rich velvet made a strong comeback for autumn / winter 2010-2011. From a more classical approach as seen at Dolce & Gabbana, with an elegant dress, bustier women, a feeling more masculine in D & G, velvet demonstrates its versatility and timeless character again. A straight cut jacket and pants paired with a jacket printed, or shorts and a pair of furry boots D & G reveals an interesting trend sport-chic. Also check out this amazing fabric at Alexander Wang mini dress with pagoda sleeves made of lace edged with velvet, with a more sensual and sexy.
