13 Gisele Bundchen could never be a fashion designer

The supermodel – who gave birth to her first child in December – admits she wouldn’t have the abilities or the patience to produce clothes and accessories full-time, but did appreciate functioning on her flip-flop collection, Ipamema, with Brazil’s largest shoe organization Grendene.

Speaking at the launch in Paris yesterday (08.04.10), Gisele mentioned: “I am very inspired by nature and like to make use of that for my suggestions, but actually designing them – no way. I would be a disaster.”

The Brazilian beauty says she is a lot more focused on her creations getting environmentally-friendly instead of how a lot she helped style them.

She told: “Nature is very close to my heart, and it’s important for me that people who buy my flip-flops are created aware of the environment.”

Despite getting among the world’s most successful supermodels, Gisele lately admitted she was initially terrified when she entered the fashion industry so invented a second persona.

She said: “I was in the style shows in Milan, I was 17, and I was doing like 100 exhibits. Individuals were asking, ‘How does it feel to become the model of the moment?’ It was tough for me to answer as myself. I barely spoke English. I thought, I have to give my best simply because they trust me with that. I invented this other person, and she could do everything. She wasn’t afraid; she was capable to be ballsy and risky and sexy or androgynous. She was bold. I had to believe in myself as this individual that was strong, up-front, invincible, and good, who knew what she was performing, even although I really didn’t.”
