earlier today presented with the new application from Apple Virtual Closet. The request was a cross-element to it for online purchases. This second report follows through a new Apple patent that was published today aimed at driving consumers to fashion retailers in particular. Apple is obviously working with Ralph Lauren and other designers and manufacturers of fine cloth to boost sales in its path. Designers and manufacturers participating in the program will be able to send invitations, promotions and cross selling on accessories such as jewelry and so on and so forth. It is also a vehicle for the new high-end Apple IADs. The new application will provide a social networking aspect to like the virtual closet. Apple has thought differently here and is on track to deliver a new type of application is the first of many to follow no doubt.
Patent Background
Many buyers of fashion desire to educate themselves before buying fashion items. In particular, buyers may wish to consider what the merchants offer different merchandise offered compare with what customers already own, and review the latest trends. In addition, some buyers may wish to identify sales and the availability of the goods before going to a store to buy. To do so, buyers may have to buy and read fashion magazines, call or visit different stores to check availability of various products, and conduct research using different sources (eg, Internet or other sources).
While all the resources that a buyer may need to shop more effectively may be available, resources can not be centralized or easily accessible from a single location. In addition, some resources are not available in the same types of communication links. For example, some resources may be available only through the phone, such as specific information regarding the availability of goods in certain shops. As another example, some information is only available from a combination of resources (for example, a buyer may be required to access different sources related to different vendors). From a user perspective, this lack of centralization of interactions with the supplier of fashion may require more effort from the user you want to take shopping resources that wish to give, and even discourage users from shopping area provider of fashion (in a cost to the supplier of fashion).

As another example, the integrated application can receive recommendations from the suppliers of fashion in relation to the recommended combinations of merchandise to build teams.
In some embodiments, the integrated application can provide functions to attract or entice a user to a particular provider. For example, through the integrated application, the user can have promotions and invitations to special events, availability of access of products, access to a store locator, and provide opportunities for pre-order and subject to fashion items. In some embodiments, the integrated application may provide more information for items of fashion to a user. For example, a user can scan an advertisement including a bar code embedded pattern of pixels, or other information, including standard with an electronic device. Thus, the user can access information associated with the item enhanced fashion advertising. As another example, the characteristics of social networks can be provided for allowing a user to create wish lists, books look, gift guides, or other collections of fashion. These collections can be provided to a social web site or otherwise shared so that friends and acquaintances can provide information on the collections.
In some embodiments, the integrated application can provide a user with sales support (for example, while the user is in a fashion store provider). For example, fashion items in the store may include an optical pattern (eg a barcode) at its price tag. You can then use the optical scan pattern for additional information or characteristics associated with the subject of fashion. For example, the optical pattern can be explored by taking a digital image of the price tag with an electronic device camera user. By digital image analysis of optical pattern, the integrated application can access the information associated with the hot topic as qualifications, for example, availability (in a certain size, color, style, or the like), comparisons (for example, comparisons of prices of the same or similar fashion suppliers from others or purchase elsewhere), the recommendations of equipment, and other appropriate characteristics.
In some embodiments, the integrated application can provide users with up-selling and cross selling opportunities. For example, the integrated application can access a database of fashion items currently in the hands of the user. From this database, the integrated application can find fashion items to the sale of one or more providers of fashion that can be matched with users currently owned fashion items to produce a team. These fashion items matching then the user may be recommended for purchase.
In some embodiments, the integrated application can provide users with opportunities following the purchase. For example, the user can have opportunities to evaluate and review a store, a provider of fashion, a fashion item, or any combination thereof. As another example, an interface can be provided that allows the user to mix and match now buy fashion items to build teams.As another example, using historical data to identify trends in purchasing a particular user, custom providers can deliver notifications directly to the user’s electronic devices.

Apple’s patent FIG. 4 shows the diagram of 400 functions to attract a user to a provider of fashion. For example, the functions of the diagram could be used to educate the beginning of a user about a provider of fashion, raise the user’s interest in the provider of fashion, and otherwise enticing a user to visit and shop in the supplier of fashion (for example, go to a physical store of the provider of fashion, shopping at an online provider of fashion, or else see the elements of the supplier of fashion).
